We'll pick you up from your hotel at 8:30 a.m. in our tourist transport and head to the Maras and Moray turnoff, approximately 50 minutes from Cusco. From this point, we'll ride mountain bikes through green fields and potato crops, always surrounded by stunning mountain scenery.
We'll reach Moray, the agricultural laboratory of the Incas, with its complex terraces in concentric circles designed to acclimatize crops. Our professional guide will accompany us on the tour and explain the history of this important site. Afterwards, we'll have free time to enjoy our delicious box lunch.
Next, we'll continue to the town of Maras to visit its salt mines, used by the people of the community. These pools are fed by salt water that springs from Qaqawiñay mountain and flows into hundreds of small pools along its slopes. In this community, we can find salt ceramics and salt treated for consumption.
We'll continue our ride with an exciting downhill to the town of Urubamba, where we'll have lunch at a tourist restaurant, before returning to the city of Cusco in our private transport.
